STUDENT’S SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE OF AIS CHAIR

On April 18, 2013 the chair of Applied Information Science hold the student's scientific conference. The research work of students is one of the most important elements of the educational process organization and an effective means of quality improvement of the preparation of highly qualified specialists who are capable creatively to use received knowledge in practice. The development of scientific research activity skills in students promotes the formation of profession prestigiousness and allows to use their creative potential for the solution of actual practical tasks. 
  


The up-to-dateness and importance of questions which were considered during the conference, testify to the level increase of student’s scientific activity. Reports were of theoretical and practical value, prepared on materials of independently conducted researches. The serious approach and students’ responsibility towards the carried work should be noted. All the researches were presented at a good level.

The first place was taken by the student of Group 401 Kabak Rimma (the academic advisor is Associate Professor Lyudmila Skodorova). Rimma conducted her research in the following direction: “System of Electronic Document Flow”. This subject is now one of high-demand and actual problems of modern society informatization. Having considered researches conducted in previous years students of Applied Information Science Chair, and the market of the system of electronic document flow which is one of the most dynamically developing segments of the IT industry of late years, the student formulated and proved a hypothesis of necessary transition from the package use “1C: Document Flow 8” on the “Directum” package.

The research work of Sychev Ivan, the student of Group 401 (the academic advisor is Associate Professor Lyudmila Skodorova), “Scrum and Kanban or Who is the owner in the house?” generated great interest. The student was awarded with the second place. The speaker mentioned two directions: application of information technologies for creation of methodical providing for studying disciplines (he created the multimedia presentation) and modern technique of management of software products development which finds now popularity on the former Soviet Union.

Silin Dmitry, the student of Group 201, deserved the third place (the academic advisor is Senior Lecturer M. Skaletsky). He made the report “Social networks as a communication and self-expression medium”. Dmitry conducted the investigation on determination of social networks popularity in Transnistria. The investigation results showed that our respondents’ preference is the same as Russian respondents, but differs from data on Moldova and Ukraine.
