OPENING OF THE SUMMER SPORTS SEASON
On May 1 the traditional “Opening of the summer sports season 2013” took place at the city stadium
Sports teams of enterprises, organizations, city and region institutions and the branch student’s national team took part in action. Competitions, as well as last year, took place by categories: field athletics relay, 60 and 100-meter running, tug-of-war, lifting weight, arm wrestling and other kinds of sport. As the competition has shown, our branch is rich not only in erudite and persistent students in study, but also strong athletes.
Results: Dunaevsky Stas (Group 520), Kaval Alina, Bugaenko Alexander (Group 330), Tsurkan Raya traditionally took the 1st place in field athletics relay. The I place was taken by Koval Alina in 60-meter running. Tsurkan Raya (60-meter running), Bugaenko Alexander (100-meter running), Chekay Alexander (weight clean and press) took the 2nd place. Bronze medals were won by Merkulova Elena (60-meter running), Dunaevsky Stas (100- meter running).
In competitions on arm wrestling Oleynik Alexander (Group 420) had no equal opponents, and he won the first place with ease.
