THE FUTURE WITHOUT TUBERCULOSIS
On March 19 there was the seminar devoted to “World Tuberculosis Day” in the PSU, the branch in Rybnitsa.
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by tubercule baccilus, microorganisms. Tuberculosis affects lungs most of all, but it can develop in other organs except hair and nails. It is hard to be saved from tuberculosis because the infection is of droplet spread. The infection source is a TBC patient in an active form. When a sick person coughs, speaks, sneezes, parts of phlegm, infected with a bacterium of tuberculosis get to the air. And then with the air it gets into lungs of healthy people and cause tuberculosis.
Nowadays one third of the world population is infected with tuberculosis. Every 4 seconds inhabitants of our planet catch tuberculosis, and every 10 seconds in the world one person dies of tuberculosis. In the world 2 billion people are now infected.
Everybody can fall a victim to baccilus Kochii. The illness can develop when immunity is weak. Such a situation can arise because of poor nutrition, after injuries, stresses, colds or other diseases.
The main symptoms of tuberculosis are: frequent cough more than 2-3 weeks; blood spitting; a breast pain when coughing; loss of weight; increased body temperature, strong night perspiration; a pain in the affected area.
Not to fall a victim to baccilus Kochii, it is necessary to carry out the following rules:
• to observe the rules of personal hygiene
• to keep a healthy lifestyle;
• to eat healthy food;
• to spend time in the open air;
• to air the room more often, to keep wet cleaning;
• not to smoke (smoking considerably reduces immunodefemce).
• to avoid stresses, or to learn to control emotions, to form the character.
• to keep the rules of respiratory etiquette
• to try to keep aside at a distance of 1 meter from a coughing person, turn away from him aside or cover a nose with a handkerchief.
• to visit a fluorography consulting room for your health check once a year;
