The 8 most beautiful, smartest, most creative and ambitious girls fought to have right to possess the crown of the winner. They were Victoria Rodoman (Course II, Specialization “Fine Arts”), Christine Krasnyanchuk (Course I, “Organization Management”), Anastasia Klimbovskaya (Course II, “Design”), Yana Androshko (Course III, Specialty “Information Science” with the additional specialty “Foreign Language”), Ekaterina Stepanova (Course III, “Fine Arts”), Marina Skakevich (Course III, “Design”), Christine Filippova (Course II, Specialization “German Language” with the additional specialization “English Language”) and Victoria Boboc (Course I, Specialization “Design”).
Four quite challenging tasks were set before the participants. First of all they had to present themselves, their sphere of interests, as part of the chosen heroine of a myth or legend. Secondly, to perform a myth or legend, where their heroines were from. Thirdly, to present to the audience and the jury their talents. The last was the fashion show where all the girls appeared before the audience in delightful evening gowns.
During the whole competition the girls had not only to sell their carefully polished images but also to show their own vivid personality. The girls tried to choose their heroines who were close to their nature and views. So, Victoria Rodoman appeared in character of Nike from Greek mythology – the goddess of victory, Christine Krasnyanchuk chose the goddess of fertility and the underworld – Persephone, Anastasia Klimbovskaya took the goddess Athor, in Egyptian mythology the goddess of the sky, love, beauty and dancing, Yana Androshko opted the image of Pandora – a mythical magical casket owner with all the troubles and hopes, Ekaterina Stepanova chose the image of the Greek goddess of war and wisdom, Athena, Marina Skakevich represented herself as Themis – the goddess of justice, Christine Filippova appeared in the form of Odette – the main character of the ballet “Swan Lake” with P. Tchaikovsky’s music, based on an ancient German legend of a beautiful princess who was turned into a white swan, and Victoria Boboc in the image of the girl-Ukraine, who was gifted with singing by the God in the old Ukrainian legend.
Each spectator formed his own opinion concerning the competitors as well as the prediction of the winner. Each participant was sure in her own abilities and hoped that after a while she would be the owner of the crown and would represent our branch at the PSU competition “Miss of the University – 2014”. But only one girl could win. While the jury was choosing the winner, Vladimir Liutov, Ilya Zavatsky, Julia Aprotskaya, Valeria Papish and others appeared on the stage.
Each girl won her own nomination, all the girls were unique and enchanting beautiful indeed. The army of fans and support followed the girls during the whole event. Each participant prepared her own and the only performance and put her heart and soul. Before announcing the winner of the title “Miss of the branch – 2014”, the jury awarded all the girls with special diplomas: “Miss Extravagance” was Anastasiya Klimbovskaya, “Miss Charm” – Victoria Rodoman, “Miss Elegance” – Ekaterina Stepanova, “Miss Charisma” – Christine Krasnyanchuk, “Miss Grace” – Christine Filippova.
Despite the fact that all the students showed their talents and charm, the main title of “Miss of the branch – 2014” and crown of the winner went to Yana Androshko. Yana received the crown from the hands of the last year’s winner, Irina Swiderskaya. Victoria Boboc became “the 2nd Vice-Miss”, and the title of “the 1st Vice-Miss” was received by Skakevich Marina. We congratulate our winners, and thanks to all the girls for a great show! We are proud that you are so talented! Shevtshenko, the branch in Rybnitsa. No doubt that the evening of March 21 was successful. The hall was filled with positive emotions and good mood. The most expected event of the spring took place! In conclusion, I would like to quote a poem composed by the member of our jury:
