MODERN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES
On November 4 the round table conference on the topic “Modern Educational Technologies” was held in the Physics, Mathematics and Information Science Chair.
Work was carried out in the following directions:
1. Using an interactive board in the educational process.
2. The site as a means of piling-up of methodical materials for teachers of Information Science.
Teachers of the Physics, Mathematics and Information Science Chair, school teachers of Information Science of the city and its district took part in the round table conference. The total of the participants is 27; 7 of them made reports:
- The software for work with an interactive whiteboard (Nagayevsky O., Lecturer).
- An interactive whiteboard as a means of increasing efficiency of the educational process (Ilyeva N., the teacher of Information Science).
- Using remote educational technologies in the educational process (Balan L., Senior Teacher). - Using an interactive whiteboard in the educational process (Russu A., the teacher of Information Science).
- Experience of using an interactive whiteboard for test creation and presentation (Shchegoleva A., the teacher of Information Science).
- The distribution of a methodical saving box on the school site (Lazar A., the teacher of Information Science).
- Using modern educational technologies for pupils’ training for academic competitions (Kozak O., the teacher of Information Science).
At the end of the round table conference the final resolution was developed where the following points were stated:
- the further interaction of the PMIS Chair staff with methodical association of teachers of Information Science on career guidance of pupils for further entrance to the following directions: “Information Science” with the additional profile “English” and “Program Engineering”;
- the chair teachers and teachers of Information Science should use innovative opportunities as much as possible in the educational activity combining traditional forms of the teaching activity organization, including an interactive whiteboard and a site as a means of piling-up of methodical materials for teachers of Information Science;
- besides academic competitions to carry out competitions on Information Science for the purpose of increasing the interest to the subject;
- for teachers of the city and its district to prepare a set of tasks for the municipal academic competitions (the solution of this task is possible by means of the thematic site realization within performance of thesis research projects by chair students);
- to organize a visiting sub-chair meeting in the form of a seminar on the basis of MEI “SES-kindergarten Vadaturkuvo” for training school teachers to work with an interactive whiteboard (the initiative of the director of MEI “SES-kindergarten Vadaturkuvo”) The chair staff thanks the participants of the round table conference for fruitful work and the information exchange and hopes that the annual carrying out of a round table conference will become a good tradition.
