PATRIOTISM IN THE SYSTEM OF MODERN YOUTH VALUES
On November 17, 2014 at the PSU, the branch in Rybnitsa, under the Decade of youth and students of the PMR and the 386th anniversary from the date of Rybnitsa foundation there was a student’s conference “Student’s self-government – the leader of the XXIst century” on the topic “Patriotism in the System of Modern Youth Values”.
In the focus of participants’ attention the following directions were considered and discussed:
- Design of the state strategy of youth patriotic education: experience, problems, prospects.
- Patriotic consciousness formation of youth in the educational sphere.
- Preservation of historical memory as a socio cultural problem of youth patriotic education.
More than 50 people took part in the conference work: representatives of the state administration, chairmen and representatives of public organizations, graduates of the branch, students and pupils from Rybnitsa.
In the welcoming speech the branch dean, Associate Professor, Pavlinov I., noted the importance of the discussed subject and wished fruitful work to the conference participants.
In sincere, warm atmosphere there was the interchange of views on importance of cultivation younger generation’s sense of pride in their country, the country’s history and achievements, on necessary active actions for the benefit of our Homeland. There was the presentation about starting new projects and competitions.
The particular interest was caused by the story of the chairman of the public organization “Joint Union of Labour Collectives” Fedchuk V. about reasons of Pridnestrovie separation from Moldova and creation of JULC, the participant of military offences in 1992 Ponomarchuk A. about the protection of our young Republic. There was an offer addressed to the city youth of creating the youth branch of the public organization “Union of the PMR Defenders”.
The conference participants emphasized importance and relevance of discussed questions, necessity of activating the coordinated work on realizing the state youth policy in the direction of patriotic education.
Adoption of the resolution became the conference work result; it was recommended:
1. To consider problems of patriotic education of youth to be of priority in educational work;
2. To consider the continuation of activities for further creating and improving the system of patriotic education necessary. This system is capable to provide the solution of tasks of society consolidation on the basis of patriotic feelings and consciousness formation;
3. To continue the practice of close interaction and active cooperation with public organizations, self-government institutions of educational institutions and territorial youth representative institutions of Rybnitsa and its region;
4. To create a youth branch of the PO “Union of PMR Defenders”;
5. For the city state administration to create the coordination center for realizing the state youth policy in the direction of patriotic education; 6. To conduct a sociological survey of the city youth “Defining a degree of patriotism understanding by youth”;
7. To organize generalization, distribution and introduction into the practice the best practices of educational institutions in patriotic youth education;
8. To create the favorable information environment to promote examples of high spirituality and civil consent using mass media opportunities.
The conference participants expressed their confidence that if they are together it will be possible to solute problems and to increase efficiency of implementing the abovementioned recommendations.
