As Igor Mosiychuck noted, today artistic education is included in modern operating conditions, that results in the experience study of our colleagues abroad, establishment of international relations, expansion of the information space, participation in international creative campaigns, conferences and plain airs. Only under such conditions education can be constantly improving.

Thus, one of the main tasks of art education is to attract pupils and students to study the culture of Pridnestrovie, in particular to start out from the study of folk art and turn its traditions into reality in creative projects.

An interesting and informative report was presented by Senior Lecturer Pokusinsky A.. Alexei Pokusinsky developed the basic directions of use and research of folk art in Pridnestrovie for studying and applying it in design by chair students. He also determined the optimum for learning in the studying process kinds of folk art that had existed in the territory of Pridnestrovie in the late XIXth and at the beginning of the XXth centuries.

The logical continuation of A. Pokusinsky’s theme was the report of Pokusinskaya L. “Modern Development Trends in Arts and Crafts”. Today DAA is a complex multi-faceted artistic phenomenon. It develops in the field of traditional folk, professional and amateur art. As Lyudmila Pokusinskaya noted, professional DAA is the result of human creativity with a special art education. They are trained in secondary and higher artistic education establishments, such as the Decorative and Applied Arts Chair at the PSU, the branch in Rybnitsa.
