ANNUAL CONFERENCE ACCORDING TO THE RESEARCH RESULTS
The annual conference according to the research results was held at the
Physics, Mathematics and Information Science Chair.
That time it was divided into two sections: “Using Information Technologies in Science, Education and Industry” (on April 10) and “Pedagogical Technologies: Theory and Practice” (on April 17).
The first section was dedicated to the applied application of future software engineers’ theoretical knowledge in various subject fields. Thus, the following reports on the themes were heard within the limits of the section:
“Using 3D Graphics in Education” (Yury Kucherenko, III Course, Direction “Software Engineering”);
“Computer Control via PS/2 Port Using a Microcontroller” (Igor Dubinin, III Course, Direction “Software Engineering”);
“Creating Interfaces Based on Voice Recognition”(Duminyuk Bogdan, II Course, Direction “Software Engineering”);
“Videoconferencing” (Sadchikov Alexander, III Course, Direction “Software Engineering”);
“To the Social Network Development of the Pridnestrovian State University, the Branch in Rybnitsa” (Golish Evgeny, III Course, Direction “Software Engineering”).
The presented software developments presented the rather deep researches of the subject field. The report by Igor Dubinin attracted particular interest of the section guests and organizers; he demonstrated a possibility of replacing the keyboard with a usual remote-control device. Many questions were asked to the report by Duminyuk Bogdan, his report was connected with studying specific abilities of neural networks upon recognizing voice commands. The software implementation of 3D-models of geometric figures was presented by Yury Kucherenko, and it was interesting from the pedagogy viewpoint.
According to the results of the section “Using Information Technologies in Science, Education and Industry” the following winning places were announced:
the first place is Igor Dubinin;
the second place is Bogdan Duminyuk
the third place is Yury Kucherenko
The section “Pedagogical Technologies: Theory and Practice” attracted attention not only of the branch students, but also Rybnitsa school pupils’. In this respect the section direction was extended and touched upon the issue either of pedagogy or of Applied Mathematics and Physics. The following reports were heard:
“Students’ Motivation as a Driving Force of the Educational Process” (Aprotskaya Julia, II Course, Direction “Pedagogic Education”, Profile “Information Science” with an additional profile “English Language”);
“Significance of Mathematical Training in Teacher’s Professional Activity” (Chernevich Carolina, Magdalyuk Catherine, I Course, Direction “Pedagogic Education” Profile “Information Science” with an Additional Profile “English Language”);
“Fractals: Theory and Practice” (Yury Kucherenko, Igor Dubinin, III Course, Direction “Software Engineering”);
“An Interactive Board as an Information Resource Improving the Quality of Teaching a Lyceum Pupil” (Chistikova Victoria, a schoolgirl of the 11th form of MEE “Rybnitsa Theoretical Lyceum”);
“The Homework World” (Vladislav Leontiev, a schoolboy of the 10th form, Seredyuk Yana, a schoolgirl of the 9th form of MEE “RRSS No. 10 with gymnasia classes”);
“Types of Tasks of Newton Second Law” (Boris Sokolovsky, a schoolboy of the 11th form of MEE “RRSS No. 6 with lyceum classes”);
“Modern Approaches of the Teaching Method of Fuzzy Logic” (Rotar Dina, V course, specialty “Information Science” with an additional specialty “Foreign Language”).
All the reports presented the practical significance of the achieved results, they were accompanied with bright and informative presentations. The section organizers noted a high level of pupils’ reports and announced their gratitude to the scientific supervisors. However, those reports could not participate in the distribution of winning places, because that conference had been declared as a student’s one. As a result, it was suggested and it was decided in a positive way to organize and realize the conference of young researchers next academic year with the help of the Physics, Mathematics and Information Science Chair, participants of which will be not only students, but also pupils of the city and district.
According to the results of the section “Pedagogical Technologies: Theory and Practice” the following winning places were announced:
the first place is Aprotskaya Julia;
the second place is Rotar Dina.
All the conference winners got an opportunity to publish their research results in the annual student scientific journal free of charge.
