ROUND TABLE MEETING
On November 11, 2021 the Department of General Scientific Disciplines held a republican round table as part of the international Week of science and peace.
The meeting participants were representatives of the state administration of Rybnitsa and the Rybnitsa district, Local Government Office “Rybnitsa department of public education”, local Government Office “Rybnitsa administration of culture”, Local Government Office “Dubossari administration of culture”, Local Government Office “Kamenka administration of culture”, the teaching staff of the Department of General Scientific Disciplines, the Department of German Languages and Their Teaching Methods; full-time and part-time students of the training programm “Socio-cultural activity”.
The meeting addressed topical issues related to the social and cultural processes in the modern world and the region. The activity was organized in the following scientific areas:
1. The ideological innovation basis.
2. Regional innovation systems as a way for regions to develop themselves
3. Self-governance for sociocultural development of the region.
4. Local communities in a new phase of sociocultural evolution.
5. Innovation managing in education, healthcare, culture, physical education and sport spheres.
During the round table meeting titled “Sociocultural drivers of innovation: the regional dimension” 6 reports were heard.
During the round table there were discussed the issues of the sociocultural evolution of local communities, current aspects of the region’s evolution; as well the experience was summarized and the methods for identifying the innovative capacities of regional authorities were specified/
The following sets of issues were analysed:
- regional innovation systems as a way of regional self-development;
- analysis and interaction of regional innovation systems;
- establishment of a system for the effective operation of territorial public self-government in the sociocultural development of the region;
- identification of the region’s innovative development factors;
- science as a factor of the region’s innovative development;
- development of innovation infrastructure in the region.
The round table noted the relevance of all issues related to sociocultural drivers of innovative development at the regional level.
Having heard and discussed all the reports, the round table members considered and adopted recommendations. In order to create an innovative environment for the region, it is necessary to promote:
a) the development of the innovation infrastructure of the region through joint innovation projects of cultural and educational institutions;
b) the establishment of a model for the decentralization of regional cultural policies;
c) the development of clear parameters by which the effectiveness of cultural policies can be assessed;
d) the development and conducting comprehensive sociological research on the situation of culture in the region;
e) the creation of a dedicated internet portal for innovative cultural projects.
