ARCHANGEL MICHAEL READINGS

On November 19, 2021 the XVIth international science and practice conference “Archangel Michael Readings” was held in remote mode on the basis of the online-platform Zoom. 
 


The conference work was organized in the following fields:
-    Digital transformation as a factor of assessment and influence on the region’s social and economic development
-    Social and economic problems of the modern society and the ways to solve them.
-    Psychological, pedagogical and philological aspects of HEI educational process development.
For all the participants to participate remotely, they were sent links for participation, conference program, invitations, they got recommendations and the connection was established beforehand.
The work of the conference was started by the Head of the Department of General Science Disciplines, Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences Lozan Tatiana A., who greeted all the people present and voiced the rules of the conference.
The plenary session was opened by the Deputy director for Scientific Work, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Leontyak Grigory P. He read out the welcome speech of the Rector of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko, Professor Beryl Stepan I. In the welcoming address it was noted that, according to the tradition, Archangel Michael Readings are a platform for articulation of the solutions for the most important problems concerning the state, the society and every one. Today, more often than ever before, relevant issues relating to the preservation of the spiritual world of a human, especially of the youth, are being raised. Accordingly, new goals and objectives are being formulated in the field of education and upbringing. The scientific community is also trying to answer the questions of what qualities a person of the modern global world should have, how to preserve his or her cultural identity in the context of globalization. The Church also articulates its attitude towards the ongoing global changes.
Archimandrite Viktor Sayapin continued the plenary meeting, reading out the salutary word of His Eminence Bishop Savva. It was pointed out that if Western ideologists and politicians try to instill in people, especially young people, a sense of inferiority, a desire to deny their ancestors and their heritage, it is up to us to do everything we can to prevent that from happening. Defending our traditional values, we must clearly see the moral, social, cultural, political boundaries that under no circumstances can be surrendered and that can never be compromised. Only in this way we can preserve ourselves as a people, preserve our country and our civilization.
After that there was heard a congratulation on the city’s Patron Saint’s day from Tadeush Magerovsky, Father of the Roman Catholic Church “Saint Joseph”, Chisinau Eparchy.
It was followed by a welcoming address of Tyagay Viktor V., the Head of Administration of Rybnitsa and the Rybnitsa District. The welcome address was read out by the Deputy Head of the Administration for Social Affairs Yuri P. Moldovsky and it was read as follows: It is encouraging that the event organizers continue to involve specialists in various fields of culture, education, science, church leaders, heads of institutions, enterprises and the general public to discuss the problems of spiritual, moral, civic, patriotic, cultural and educational, economic and political education of the younger generation. The relevance of the conference results from the fact that the problems of our people’s moral and spiritual values preservation and strengthening, the interaction between Orthodox culture and modern society.
Marchenko Maya N., the Deputy Head for Education of the Municipal Institution “Rybnitsa Public Education Department” wished all the meeting participants fruitful and constructive work, interesting plans and idea emergence, their successful realization. She also noted that each year, the Archangel Michael Readings raise and discuss pressing issues in the field of education, various spheres of social life and individual’s spiritual development. The Readings open up great prospects for searching for and, above all, finding common ground between contemporary trends in the development of society, science, religion and the awareness of the man’s role in the world. The uniqueness of the conference is in its ability to unite all important directions of the society’s formation and life.
Then the conference heard the following reports:
Pavlinov Igor A., Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor, the Director of the Rybnitsa branch of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko presented his report on the topic “Creation of an ecosystem for the transformation of the higher education organization in the north region of the PMR”. In his presentation, he drew attention to the fact that the transformation processes of university education in the CIS countries are gaining momentum, and there appears the experience of the universities participating in Project 5-100 (Russia) that gave all universities the beginning for a clear understanding of the development resources limitations, but successfully overcame this barrier and initiated a new Priority-2030 project. It can be clearly stated that the university transformation is linked to the smart development strategy for all its structural units and is linked to regional development strategies.
Dymchenko Nikolay V., Archbishop Savva’s Tiraspol and Dubossary Counsellor for education and culture, Vice-Rector of the Non-profit organization for higher education “Tiraspol trans-regional University”, Professor, Candidate of Cultural Sciences, Honored Cultural Worker of the PMR gave a presentation on “The Church as an integrating and consolidating social institution of Pridnestrovie: historical and cultural aspect”.
The speaker stated that the development of spiritual and moral foundations are important factors for the stability of the state and society and their dynamic development. Religion plays an important role in the formation of these qualities, as it shapes the worldview, performs regulatory, educational, integrative and consolidating functions. Religion should be an expression of social unity, a means to overcome social division and inequality and to ensure the integrity and stability of society.
Archimandrite Victor Sayapin presented the report on “Church life on the left bank of the Dniester at the end of 1920-1930”. He stated that since the middle of 1929, anti-religious terror has been shifting from town to village. In his speech, he drew attention to the fact that the authorities viewed the church as a major obstacle for collectivization, so the decision to establish a collective farm in a village was usually accompanied by the closure of the local church. By 1930, the result was the massive demolition of churches and monasteries, which were not only spiritual centres, but often architectural masterpieces as well.
Tyagulskaya Lyudmila A., Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, the Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Software Engineering gave a presentation on the topic “Career guidance in the era of digital transformation”. In the report, she noted that the digital transformation of education aims at individualization and personalization, creating individual educational trajectories that combine elements of formal, non-formal and informal education. Tool transformation involves the use of digital tools in the context of traditional forms and methods of career guidance and professional self-determination support. There were given examples of first- and second-generation digitally supported career guidance technologies. The speaker also highlighted a number of stages that digital transformation in various industries goes through. Career guidance is not an exception.
Archpriest Nikita Zaveryukha presented his report on the topic “Dante in the era of catastrophes. Christian understanding of the divine comedy by Dante. To the 700th anniversary of the death of the poet”. The modern world has experienced catastrophes of universal scale just as the world of Dante did. These are the plague in Europe of the 14th century, the coronavirus pandemic of the 21st century. The experience of the life revival search is an invaluable gift of the great Florentine to us, despondent and scared for the future of our world. Written 700 years ago, “the Comedy” is read as if it had been created for us, contemporaries, and about us. However, the wall of questions that come up when one reads it can really prevent the reader from hearing the author, while his goal was to take people out of their misery and bring them to a state of happiness.
Archpriest Sergiy Vilkov presented his report on “Love and Mercy”. The Archpriest covered the theme of love and mercy nowadays, what the word “love” means for the current generation. He drew attention to the fact that in the country where faith in God is still strong, words “love” and “mercy” are still meaningful.
Tsvinkailo Petr S., Senior Lecturer of the Department of Automation of Technological Processes and Production spoke on the topic “Application of digital technologies at ОJSC Tiraspol Bread Products Plant Rybnitsa production”. He reviewed the modern approach to grain storage based on the introduction of an automatic control system for the active ventilation process regulation.
Sycheva Irina I., a graduate student of the Department of Management in the report on “Transformation of the region’s human capital in the context of the economy digitalization” covered the impact of the global processes of the economy digitization on the reproduction and use of the regional human capital. In order to reduce the negative effects and enhance the positive effects of digitization for human capital development, there are public policy directions, proposed to prepare people for life and work, with the rapidly developing information technologies being taken into consideration. The directions are based on the unity of education and workforce policies in the labour market.  
Popik Irina I., a graduate student of the Department of Management, gave a presentation on the topic “Intellectual potential of the region as a factor of innovative development”. She covered the rapid technological development, the globalization processes and the changes in the social and economic structure of countries, which are forcing the society to face new challenges in all spheres of life. The further development of any state and its place in the world hierarchy will be determined by the attitude of the state and the society to the main resource, which is the intellectual and creative potential.
The results of the conference were summarized by the Head of the Department of General Science Disciplines, Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Lozan Tatiana A. She expressed the hope that the contemporary issues discussion would contribute to solving general social and economic problems and thanked the participants for the collaborative work. She wished everyone further creative success. She also informed the participants that the section sessions reports will be published in the collection “Archangel Michael Readings” in 2022.
