NATIVE LANGUAGE IS THE LIVING SOUL OF THE PEOPLE
Within the framework of the project “Native language through all and everyone”, the III-rdcity and regional festival-contest “Native language is the living soul of the people” was held in February 2021 on the basis of the Center for Social and Cultural Initiatives and Education of the Department of General Scientific Disciplines.
The directions of the festival-contest are:
1. Drawing contest “Speech is embellished with a proverb”.
2. Essay contest “The living language of my family”.
3. Contest of original fairy tales “The Tale about the Native Language”.
The objective of the competitions was to draw attention to the native language as a source of understanding the cultural traditions of the Pridnestrovian people and the basis of national identity.
149 preschoolers and schoolchildren from 6 to 15 years old participated in the drawing contest “Speech is embellished with a proverb”. 30 participants became prize-winners.
62 participants of different age categories sent the essay “The living language of my family” to the contest. Nikolay Vladislav, a 1st year student of the training direction “Software Engineering”, participated in the contest with the essay topic “My native language” and took the II-nd place (the supervisor is Associate Professor Tyagulskaya L.A.).
The contest of original fairy tales was held in three nominations: “The Tale about the Russian Language”, “The Tale about the Ukrainian Language”, and “The Tale about the Moldavian Language”. 67 participants took part in this contest.
Each participant had the opportunity to express their attitude to their native language as a powerful tool for the preservation and development of the material and spiritual heritage of each people.
It should be noted that interest in this festival-contest is increasing every year.
