REPUBLICAN SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL SEMINAR
On March 25, 2022, the Republican scientific and practical seminar (with international participation) on the topic “Development and functioning of vocabulary and phraseology of the English, German and Russian languages” was held at the Department of the Germanic Languages and Methods of Their Teaching.
The relevance of the seminar topic is due to the need for further research of linguistic units of the studied foreign languages and obtaining new data on features of their semantics, system properties, functioning in the language.
The seminar was attended by the teachers of the Department of Germanic Languages and Methods of Their Teaching, as well as the Faculty of Philology of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko; teachers of the Voronezh State University, Belarusian State University, school teachers from Tiraspol, Dubossary, Rybnitsa, the Rybnits and Slobodzeya districts, as well as students of the bachelor’s degree program in the training program “Teacher Education” specializing in “Foreign language” with an additional specialization “Foreign language”.
In the course of the scientific and practical seminar, 8 reports on current topics were heard:
1. Linguistic means of implementing agonality in review (Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Shilikhina K.M., Voronezh State University, Candidate of Philology, Senior Lecturer Solovyanova E.V., Rybnitsa branch of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko).
2. Tropes in the lyrics of the Pridnestrovian author A.A. Melnichuk (N.V.Krivoshapova, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor, PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko).
3. The course of professional training at the initial stage of training of foreign students (Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Lyubetskaya E.P., Belarusian State University).
4. The role of linguistic means in the formation of a reality fragment idea (Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Egorova V.G., Rybnitsa branch of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko).
5. Selection of foreign language texts on Internet resources for didactic purposes (Candidate of Pedagocic Science, Associate Professor Statnik O.G., Rybnitsa branch of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko).
6. Metagraphemics as a means of attention management in the process of perception of an electronic educational text (Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Russu A.N., Rybnitsa branch of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko).
7. Syntactic features of English-language advertising slogans (English teacher Vlasenko V.A., MEE “Ukrainian Secondary School No. 1 named after Lesya Ukrainka”)
8. Development of critical thinking in English lessons (English teacher, Kovtunenko Yu.A., MEE “Rybnitsa Russian-Moldavian secondary school №9”).
The work at the seminar was accompanied by a lively and constructive discussion. The reports were presented at a high theoretical and methodological level using multimedia technologies. The participants of the section showed great interest in the topics discussed and noted the relevance of studying the problems raised.
