PROBLEMS OF EMPLOYMENT OF THE WORKING-AGE POPULATION
On October 5, 2022, a round table was held at the Department of Management of the Rybnitsa Branch of the Pridnestrovian State University named after T.G. Shevchenko.
The participants of the round table discussed topical issues related to the demographic and labor potential of the PMR. During the work, the following reports were made:
1. Demographic situation of the region: state and prospects (Senior Lecturer Lugovaya N.G.).
2. Labor resources and employment problems (Senior Lecturer Kozma E.S.).
During the reports, the essence of labor resources was considered, the factors and problems of the development of the demographic situation in the PMR were determined and substantively analyzed.
As a result, the round table participants agreed that the economic activity of the population is the most important characteristic of the region labor potential. Such indicators as the share of the economically active population, the percentage of unemployment and others are the basis for decision-making in the field of labor resources in the country. Depopulation processes in the area entail a decrease in both the economically active and economically inactive population. This leads to deterioration in the quality of the population in terms of the district labor potential.
