ROUND II OF THE XXIST ACADEMIC OLYMPICS FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN AND STUDENTS IN CRYPTOGRAPHY
On January 29, 2023, the second round of the XXIst Academic Olympics for schoolchildren and students in cryptography was held. It was organized by “Saratov National Research State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky” and the Scientific and Educational Center “Erudite”. All the winners of the first round were invited (the participants who took places 1-3).
The second round, held in a remote format with mandatory camera connection, was attended by 109 schoolchildren and students from Russia, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
The IInd round was also held within three age categories (grades 6-8, grades 9-11 and students). Tasks in the form of minigames, encrypted phrases and messages, cryptograms were successfully decrypted by the students of the Department of Information Science and Software Engineering of the Rybnitsa branch of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko.
According to the results of the second round, 6 students took the second prize: Biryukov Timur, Kochubey Dmitry, Lapturov Vadim, Nikholat Alexandra, Osipova Victoria, Strozhevsky Dmitry. Each winner will be presented with award of the II round.
