MY GREAT COUNTRYMEN
On May 17, a cultural and educational event was held in the Republican Palace of Culture dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of the famous director of the clothing factory named after 40 years of All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (now Odema) Solovyova V.S., within the framework of the Republican project “My great countrymen”.
Valentina Solovyova wrote a vivid chapter in the history of the Odema factory, Tiraspol and the entire Soviet Union. Thanks to her efforts and with direct participation, the following ones were built: Moldavian State District Power Station (on the territory of the PMR), a trolleybus line in Tiraspol, a bridge over the Dniester River, the Palace of the Republic, the Dubossary clothing factory, numerous residential buildings, kindergartens, recreation centers on the sea coast.
Solovyova’s life principle was concern for people, all her creative activity was aimed at improving the social life of the enterprise workers and their families, residents of the city.
The event was attended by students of the Rybnitsa branch of PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko, a specialist of the Russian World Office in Rybnitsa, representatives of the public association “Obnovlenie”, employees of the clothing factory “Odema” and the townspeople of Tiraspol. They remembered and honored the memory of the director of the clothing factory named after 40 years of All-Union Leninist Young Communist League Valentina Solovyova, thanks to whom the entire Union knew about Tiraspol (shirts by “Odema” and innovations).
According to citizens who personally knew Valentina Solovyova, we can firmly say that she is one of the best Tiraspol women and not only in her outer and inner beauty, but also in matters significant for the city and the republic. Truly outstanding personality!
