ACADEMIC OLYMPICS IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE
On May 24, 2023, the second stage of the Academic Olympics in the Russian Language was held online on the ZOOM platform.
Kucherenko Violetta Yu., a first-year student of the master’s degree program of the Department of the Germanic Languages and Methods of Their Teaching, became a laureate of this event.
The goal of the Academic Olympics is to popularize the Russian language, to develop interest among foreigners in the cultural heritage of Russia and the realities of today.
The event was held according to the plan and with information support of the Asia-Pacific Association of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature and the Russian Society of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature. The Academic Olympics are timed to coincide with the celebration of the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture in Russia.
As part of the first stage, it was necessary to write an essay according to one of the sayings by famous Russian figures.
Students who scored the most points per essay were admitted to the second stage of the Academic Olympics. For the second round of the Academic Olympics, it was necessary to prepare an online performance in Russian, accompanied by a presentation. The theme of the speech is “The teacher who discovered the Russian world to me”.
