ACQUAINTANCE WITH THE SCIENTIFIC AND INFORMATION LIBRARY CENTER
On September 28, the head of the Scientific and Information Library Center Pleshakova Galina V. continued to introduce the freshmen of the departments of the German Languages and Methods of Their Teaching, Decorative and Applied Arts and Social and Cultural Activity to the Scientific and Information Library Center in the Rybnitsa branch of PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko.
Today, the library is not just a reading room, but a platform for self-education, where each person acts as a “knowing” and “acting” one.
A conversation was held with students in order to form an information and library culture, including:
- acquaintance and rules for using the library;
- what is a bibliography and how to use it;
- dictionaries and reference books, work with them;
- rules for using card-catalogues.
The main task of the meeting was primarily to make students regular readers of the Scientific and Information Library Center.
