INTERNATIONAL ARTIST’S DAY
On December 8, 2023, at the Rybnitsa branch, at the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts, as part of the International Artist’s Day, Lyudmila V. Chiornaya held a master class on painting on the topic “Technology of watercolor alia prima” for first-year students in the specializations “Design” and “Fine Arts”.
The Artist’s Day is not only a celebration of professionals and art lovers. Creativity preserves in a person the opportunity to rejoice in the world and love it. Therefore, today’s holiday is for all lovers of beauty.
The artist’s profession is very old. Even ancient people created paintings of rock painting. In ancient Egypt, artists were highly respected. It was believed that the pictured images have a magical effect. In the Middle Ages, the main areas of art were icon painting, frescoes and mosaics. During the Renaissance, the portrait genre developed, which does not lose its relevance today.
