The general characteristics of Specialty “Information Science” with an additional profile “Foreign Language” (a qualification (degree) is a “bachelor”)

I. THE SPHERE OF APPLICATION
1.1. The present Federal State Educational Standard of higher professional education presents a set of requirements which are mandatory in the implementation of basic educational Bachelor programs in 050100 “Pedagogical Education” by the educational institutions of higher professional education.

II. CHARACTERISTICS OF TRAINING DIRECTION
The standard term of studying is 5 years (the full-time education), the overall workload of the main curriculum (in academic credits) is 300. One credit unit corresponds to 36 academic hours.

III. СНАRACTERISTICS OF BACHELORS’ PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
3.1. The sphere of the professional activity comprises education, social services and culture.
3.2. The objects of the professional activity are upbringing, development, educational systems.
3.3. A Bachelor of 050100 “Pedagogical education” prepares for the following kinds of professional activity:
• pedagogical;
• cultural and educational;
• research.

3.4. A Bachelor of 050100 “Pedagogical education” should solve the following professional tasks in accordance with kinds of the professional activity:

in the sphere of teaching activities:
• studying opportunities, needs, achievements of students in the sphere of education and projection based on the obtained results of educational programs, disciplines and individual routs of teaching, upbringing, development;
• organizing teaching and upbringing in the sphere of education with the use of technologies appropriating to age peculiarities of students and reflecting the specificity of knowledge areas (in accordance with the implemented profiles);
• organizing the interaction with public and educational organizations, children’s groups and parents in order to complete tasks of the professional activity;
• using opportunities of the educational environment to ensure the quality of education, including the use of information technology;
• implementing professional self-education and personal growth, developing the further educational rout and professional career;

in the sphere of cultural and educational activities:
• studying, forming and implementing needs of children and adults in cultural and educational activities;
• organizing the cultural space in the sphere of research activity;
• collecting, analyzing, systematizing information on actual problems of science and education;
• developing modern pedagogical technologies taking into account features of the educational process, upbringing tasks, teaching and development of a personality;
• realizing experiments on using new forms of educational and upbringing activities, analyzing the results.

IV. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE STRUCTURE OF BASIC EDUCATIONAL BACHELOR PROGRAMS
A graduate should possess the following common cultural competences:
• to have presence of thinking principles, an ability for generalized analysis, perception of information, goal setting and a choice of his achievements;
• to be able to realize the importance of culture as a form of human existence and to use basic cultural values in this activities;
• to be able to use knowledge of modern natural science worldview in educational and professional activities, to apply methods of mathematical information processing, theoretical and experimental research;
• to be able to organize oral and written speech logically;
• to be ready to use basic techniques, methods and means of obtaining, storing, processing information, to be ready to work with a computer as with a tool for information control;
• to be able to work with information in global computer networks;
• to speak a foreign language at the level that allows to receive and evaluate information in the sphere of the professional activity from foreign sources.

A graduate should possess the following professional competences:
• to be aware of the social significance of the future profession;
• to be able to use systematized theoretical and practical knowledge of humanitarian, social and economic sciences in solving social and professional problems;
• to possess the basics of professional speech culture;
• to be able to prepare and edit texts of professional and socially meaningful contents.

in the sphere of pedagogical activities:
• to be able to develop and implement education programs of basic courses in various educational institutions;
• to be able to solve problems of upbringing and spiritual and moral development of students;
• to be ready to use modern techniques and technologies, methods of diagnosing achievements of students to ensure the quality of the educational process;
• to be able to implement educational support of students’ socialization and professional self-determination, their preparation for their conscious choice of the profession;
• to be able to take advantage of the educational environment for forming universal kinds of teaching activities and providing the quality of the educational process;
• to be ready to interact with students, parents, colleagues, social partners;
• to be able to organize the cooperation of students, to maintain the activity and initiative, self-dependence of students, their creative abilities in the sphere of cultural and educational activities;
• to be able to develop and implement cultural and educational programs taking into account national and international experience;
• to be able to identify and take advantage of the regional cultural educational environment for organizing cultural and educational activities in the sphere of scientific research

V. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE STRUCTURE OF MAIN BACHELOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
5.1. The basic Bachelor program provides studying the following training cycles:
• humanitarian, social and economic cycles;
• mathematical and natural cycle;
• professional cycle;

and sections: • physical training;
• educational and industrial practice;
• final state certification.

5.2. Each education cycle has a basic (mandatory) part and a variable (profile) part which are set by the university. A variable (profile) part makes it possible to expand and (or) deepen knowledge and skills, defined by the content of basic (obligatory) disciplines (modules), provides students with profound knowledge and skills for a successful professional career and (or) for continuation of the professional education in magistracy.

II. CHARACTERISTICS OF TRAINING DIRECTION
The standard term of studying is 4 years (the full-time education), the overall workload of the main curriculum (in academic credits) is 240. One credit unit corresponds to 36 academic hours.


III. СНАRACTERISTICS OF BACHELORS’ PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY 
3.1. The sphere of the professional activity of graduates of 231000 “Software Engineering” is the industrial production of software for information systems of various profiles.
3.2. The objects of the professional activity of graduates of 231000 “Software Engineering” are:
• a software project (the development plan of a software program);
• a software program (a created software);
• processes of the software lifecycle;
• methods and tools of developing a software program;
• staff involved in life cycles.

3.3. A Bachelor of 231000 “Software Engineering” prepares for the following types of the professional activity:
• research;
• analytical;
• project;
• technological;
• industrial;
• pedagogical;
• organizational and managerial;
• service and operational.

Specific kinds of professional activities, for which a Bachelor mainly prepares, are determined by the higher education institution together with students, research and teaching staff of the higher education institution and employers’ associations.
3.4. A bachelor should solve the following professional tasks in accordance with kinds of the professional activity:
• to participate in investigations (experiments, observations and quantitative measurements) connected with the objects of the professional activity (software programs, projects, processes, personnel, methods and tools of software engineering) in accordance with the approved tasks and techniques;
• to construct models of the professional activity objects with the use of computer simulation tools;
• to form descriptions of conducted investigations, to prepare data for reviews and reports.

• to collect and analyze customer’s requirements for a software product;
• to formalize the subject field of a software project based on the results of technical specifications and express survey;
• to assistant a customer upon evaluating and selecting software options;
• to participate in forming a commercial offer for a customer, to prepare presentations and coordinate agreement documentations.

• to participate in projecting components of a software program in the amount, which is sufficient for their construction within a set task;
• to create a software component (coding, debugging, module and integration testing);
• to perform measurement and code refactoring in accordance with the plan;
• to participate in the integration of software components;
• to develop a test environment, to create test cases;
• to develop and execute sketchy, technical and planning documents.

• to master and apply computer-aided design facilities, development, testing and software maintenance;
• to master and apply methods and control tools of engineering activities and processes of the software lifecycle;

• to interact with a customer in the process of developing a software project;
• to participate in processes of software programming;
• to participate in creating technical documents based on the results of the performed work.

• to teach and certify users of software systems;

• to participate in preparing technical documents (work schedules, instructions, plans, estimates, orders for materials, equipment, software) and established reporting on approved forms;

• to plan and coordinate work on setting up and maintaining a software product;
• to prepare private technical specifications for the development of a software product;
• to organize work of small groups of software project performers;
• to participate in conducting a feasibility study of software projects.

• to put into operation a software product (installation, parameter settings, adaptation, administration);
• to maintain a software product during the operational process in a preventive and corrective way;
• to train and consult users how to work with the software system.

IV. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE STRUCTURE OF BASIC BACHELOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
4.1. The basic educational bachelor program provides the following training cycles:
