The department “Social-Pedagogical Disciplines” was established in 1994. The decision to establish the Department was taken as a result of a thorough analysis of structural changes in the PMR economy, assessment of prospects for its development, changes in the structure of future needs of specialists of the new generation. Later the department was renamed as the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines (SED).

During the entire period, the Department has been providing trained and graduated specialists in the following specialties:
− Vocational training (the specialization in “Economics and Management” (since 1998 to 2005);
− Applied Computer Science in Economics (since 2000 to 2006);
− Corporate Management (since 2004 to the present).

The Department is a member of the Council of Educational and Methodological Association of Higher Educational Institutions of Russia on education in the field of management.

Since September 2012, the training of specialists according to the FSES of the 3rd generation has begun in the training program 38.03.02 “Management”, the specialization in “Corporate Management”. In 2019 the Department celebrated the 25th anniversary of its formation.

In 2009, a postgraduate course was opened at the department in the specialty 08.00.05 “Economics and Management of the National Economy”.

In 2015, the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines was reorganized into the Department of Management.

In accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education of the PMR No. 1477 dated December 22, 2015, the department trains specialists at the master’’s degree in the training program 5.38.04.02 ”Management”.
The Department of Management is currently training specialists in higher education:
1.    Training program 5.38.03.02 “Management” (bachelor’s degree), the specializations in “Corporate Management”, “Financial Management”.
2.    Training program 5.38.04.02 “Management” (master’s degree).
3.    Postgraduate course in specialty 38.06.01 “Economics and management of national economy”.

The organizational structure of the Department is formed according to the direction of its activity and includes:
1.    Teaching and Methodological Room of the Department.
2.    Purpose-Designed Room No. 5, equipped with computer and audio-video equipment.
3.    The branch of the Department at CJSC “Rybnitsa Bakery Factory”.
4.    Consulting business center.

The educational process is fully provided by the teaching staff, 8 employees of which are full-time and 2 employees are part-time. According to the qualitative staff, at the moment 4 employees have a scientific degree (including 1 professor), there are 2 Honored Workers and 4 distinguished workers of public education.

In accordance with the FSES requirements, all teachers have basic specialized education, 40 % have an academic degree, 40 % have a higher qualifying category and 30 % have over 10 years of professional practice in this area as leaders. 12.5% is a share of scientific and pedagogical employees from among the heads of organizations.

  
   
PROFILE OF PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY OF GRADUATES WHO HAVE MASTERED THE MASTER’S PROGRAM


1. The field of professional activity of graduates who have mastered the master’s degree program includes:
* management activities in any organizations of legal organizational status, in which graduates work as executors or leaders in various departments of the administrative apparatus;
* management activities in State and municipal administration;
* entrepreneurial and organizational activities in structures in which graduates are entrepreneurs who create and develop their own business;
* research activities in scientific organizations dealing with management problems;
* research and teaching activities in higher education institutions and supplementary vocational education organizations.

2. The objects of professional activity of graduates who have mastered the master’s degree program are:
* management processes of organizations of any legal organizational status;
* state and municipal management processes;
* scientific research processes.

3. Types of activities for which graduates of the master’s degree program are trained:
* organizational and managerial;
* analytical;
* scientific research.
When developing and implementing master’s degree program, an organization focuses on the specific type(s) of professional activity for which the master is trained, based on the needs of the labour market, research and logistical resources of an organization.

4. The graduate of the master’s degree program, according to the type(s) of professional activity to which the master’s degree program is directed, is prepared to undertake the following professional tasks:
in organizational and managerial activities:
* development strategies of organizations and their individual units;
* management of subdivisions of enterprises and organizations of various forms of ownership, state and municipal authorities;
* organizing and directing creative groups (teams) for organizational and managerial tasks;
in analytical activities:
* research, analysis and evaluation of information for the preparation and adoption of management decisions;
* analysis of existing forms of organization and management processes, development and justification of offers for their improvement;
* evaluation of project effectiveness against uncertainty;
in scientific research activities:
* organization of scientific research: identification of tasks for groups and individual performers, selection of research tools, analysis of research results, collection, processing, analysis and systematization of information on the research issue, preparation of surveys and reports on the research issue;
* development of models of the processes, phenomena and objects under investigation in the field of professional activity, evaluation and interpretation of the results;
* identification and formulation of relevant scientific issues;
* preparation of reviews, reports and scientific publications;
in pedagogical activities:
* teaching of management disciplines and development of appropriate teaching and learning materials in general education and vocational organizations and in supplementary vocational training organizations.



 DESCRIPTION OF THE PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES OF BACHELOR’S DEGREE GRADUATES (TRAINING PROGRAM 5.38.03.02 “MANAGEMENT”) 

1. The field of professional activities of graduates who have mastered the bachelor’s degree program includes: organization of various legal forms (commercial, non-commercial) and bodies of State and municipal administration, in which graduates work as implementers and coordinators for organizational activities; and administration of operational management decisions, as well as structures in which graduates are entrepreneurs who create and develop their own business.
2. The subjects of professional activities of graduates who have mastered the bachelor’s degree program are: processes of implementing management decisions in organizations of various organizational and legal forms; management of decision-making processes in State and municipal governments.
3. Types of activities for which graduates who have mastered the bachelor’s degree program are prepared for the following ones:
- Organizational and managerial.
- Informational and analytical.
- Entrepreneurial.

When developing and implementing the bachelor’s degree program, an organization focuses on the specific type(s) of professional activity for which the bachelor is trained, based on the needs of the labour market, research and logistical resources of an organization.

4. A graduate who has mastered a bachelor’s degree program, according to the type(s) of activities to which the bachelor program is directed, must be prepared to undertake the following professional tasks:
in organizational and managerial activities:
    participation in the development and implementation of the organization corporate and competitive strategy, as well as functional strategies (marketing, financial, human resources);
    participation in the development and implementation of a range of operational activities in accordance with the organization strategy;
    planning activities of an organization and its departments; formation of an organizational and managerial structure of organizations;
    organization of implementers’ (teams of implementers) work for implementing specific projects, activities and works;
    development and implementation of projects aimed at the development of an organization (enterprise, state or municipal administration body);
    monitoring of activities of units, teams (groups) of employees;
    motivation and stimulation of the organization staff to achieve strategic and operational objectives;
    participation in the resolution of organizational conflicts at the unit and team (team) level;
in informational and analytical activities:
    collecting, processing and analyzing information on the external and internal environment of an organization for management decision-making;
    building and supporting the organization internal information system to collect information for decision-making, planning and control; establishment and maintenance of databases according to various indicators of the organizations functioning; development and support of the internal document management system of an organization; maintenance of databases according to various indicators of the organizations functioning;

    preparation of information and analysis activities reports;
    assessing the effectiveness of management decisions;
in entrepreneurship activities:
    development and implementation of business plans for the creation of new business;

Students’ educational work in the Department of Management


Educational work in the Department of Management is among the most relevant ones. At the Department of Management, as at the whole branch, educational work is an integral part of the education process and, therefore, the professional duty of each teacher and employee. Educational work at the Department is carried out in accordance with the Educational Curriculum of the University and the Department plan.
The students of the department actively participate in the social, cultural and sports life of the university. Every year, students take part in various cultural and physical activities: Initiation to students, first-year kapustnik, youth decade, various sporting events, etc. The department creates all conditions for realization of leadership, creative and sports talents of students. The students of the department are being members of the trade union organization, actively taking part in student and sports events, volunteering. Our students live an interesting, bright and eventful student life, that gives all opportunities for professional growth, self-fulfillment in social activities, creativity and sports, increasing the level of personal competences. At the department students participate in events not only on the scale of the branch, but also on the scale of the city, the university, the student can take part in a large number of events of the city, district, republican and international scale!

Educational events make the life of the branch, department and its student community interesting and eventful, allow students to satisfy their interests, ambitions, develop meaningful qualities in themselves, talents, recognize their own resources, personal and social potential for future life. The built-up system of traditions, strong educational, cultural and leisure activities, sports, creative and social activities of the youth in our higher educational institution contribute to maximum preparation for a profession.
