LAVISH MASLENITSA
On February 21, 2015 the Pridnestrovian State University, the branch in Rybnitsa, said goodbye to winter: Lavish Maslenitsa was singing and dancing in front of the main branch housing. Students, lecturers and guests took part in national holidays.
Our ancestors considered that to spend a holiday fun and satisfying is a good superstitious belief because how you will spend the Maslenitsa so you will live during the forthcoming year.
There were five pancake tables in the yard: one from each chair. The tables were overladen with different food, quick-moving music poured from the load speaker, and everyone was treated with tea and pancakes with a variety of fillings.
Funny clowns told the guests history and customs of this national holiday.
Everyone who wanted took part in active competitions and games, danced in a round, ate.
To add the competition spirit to fun there were competitions for “The biggest pancake”, “The most unusual and tasty fillings for pancakes”, “The original dish of pancakes” and “The best pancake table” among the chairs. However, the winners of “The best pancake table” could not be chosen, because all the participants had been prepared perfectly.
Measuring strength guests and participants of the Maslenitsa fun competitions went to burn a jackstraw and send off the winter.
