THE 1ST STUDENT TOURIST PATRIOTIC RALLY
On May 22, 2015 there was the first student tourist patriotic rally of the PSU,
the branch in Rybnitsa, “Spring” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The main purposes of the event were patriotic education in the new generation, promoting love to the homeland, healthy lifestyle, development of student’s tourism as a means of physical development of young people.
The rally took place in one of the most beautiful places in the Rybnitsa district, on the base of the sports and health camp in village Buski. Forest, meadows for pitching camps and bonfires, volleyball court, gazebo, refreshing spring and warm sunny weather strengthened the fighting spirit of the teams.
5 teams participated in the rally, they consisted of eight students from different courses of each branch chair. All the teams were present at the solemn opening of the rally, during which the presentation of the teams, including the name and motto was held: the team of the Applied Information Science Chair – “Torch”, the Social and Economic Disciplines Chair – “Optimists”, the Physics, Mathematics and Information Science Chair – “Reddish titmice”, the Foreign Languages Chair – “Marusya” and the Decorative and Applied Arts – “Worms”.
The meeting was opened by the Deputy Director for Youth Affairs, Molchanova E., who noted the importance of that event and expressed hope that the rally would become another good tradition of the branch.
“It doesn’t matter who will be the winner in these competitions, the main thing is for all of us to feel the holiday atmosphere, friendliness and understanding. Let the friendship unite you. The most important and difficult thing is to go through the steps of the rally with the whole team, your result will depend on your team spirit,” said Elena Molchanova, and those words became a blessing for all the participants of the camp.
The first tests that had to be overcome by students were competitions for knowing medicinal plants “Ecology and We” and the premedical first aid “Help Your Fellowman”, which were held by the branch medical assistant, Shchebetovich L.. The guys were so thorough that three teams shared the first place and the two ones – the second.
The rally program was very diverse: the participants were able to demonstrate their skills and abilities in competitions “Topographical Signs”, “Knotting”, “Darts”, “Volleyball”, “Tourist Lunch”, that is, cooking camp porridge in the fire.
After a hearty lunch the teams participated in the competition of amateur performances, the theme of which was “Roads of the Victory”. Soulful singing of war songs created a warm and friendly atmosphere.
According to the results of the rally in the overall standings the places were distributed as follows: the third place was taken by the team “Torch”, the Applied Information Science Chair, the second – by “Reddish titmice”, the Physics, Mathematics and Information Science Chair. And the team of the Social and Economic Disciplines Chair “Optimists” was recognized as the most united, creative and original team.
The closing ceremony of the rally took place in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Organizers and the branch director, Associate Professor Tyagulskaya L. awarded guys with their well-deserved diplomas, certificates and the challenge Cup. Despite tiredness students, full of emotions and impressions went home to come back there next year for a student rally “Spring 2016”.
