ANNUAL STUDENTS SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
On April 9 the department of the Germanic Languages and Their Teaching Methods held the annual closing students scientific conference in the remote mode
The main purpose of the conference is to engage students in science, to arouse the youth interest in new scientific knowledge, that goes beyond the limits of principal education programs. This is the best scientific research experience exchange. This is also discussions and arguments, that inevitably arise based on the conclusion of the reports. Taken together, all of these create that very substrate where really talented young people can thrive.
The conference session was held in two sections. Within the first one, which was “Relevant problems of modern linguistics” the following report were presented:
1. Linguistic means of digital society conceptualization (Gritskul D., the scientific supervisor was Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Egorova V.G.) – the 1st place.
2. Neologisms as a way to conceptualize processes and phenomena in modern society (Galyas L.R., Kostyuk E.R., the scientific supervisor was Senior Lecturer Solovyanova E.V.) - the 2nd place.
3. Specific features of simile in the novel “Wuthering Heights” by E. Bronte (Tkhoreva A.A. and Senior Lecturer Solovyanova E.V. as the scientific supervisor) - the 3rd place.
4. Meaning and peculiarities of the German names (Pecherskaya D.A. and Senior Lecturer Gilevich P.N. as the scientific supervisor).
5. Theme groups of the lexico-semantic field “courage” (Ivanov S.S. and Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Zadobrivscaia O.F. as the scientific supervisor).
Within the second section, which was “Foreign Languages Teaching Methods” the following reports were presented:
1. The study of the regional component at foreign language classes (Bargan E.A., Gzhegozhevskaya T.V. and Senior Lecturer Argunova V.G. as the scientific supervisor) - the 1st place.
2. Corpus as the base for electronic educational environment creation (Klimchuk D.Y. and Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Zadobrivskaya O.F. as the scientific supervisor) - the 2nd place.
3. Opportunities for educational longread use in the foreign language teaching (Osadchiy V.V. and Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Russu A.N. as the scientific supervisor) - the 3rd place.
4. Austria’s Higher Educational Institutions and foreign students (Sasina L.V., Uzun T.A. and Senior Lecturer Gilevich P.N. as the scientific supervisor).
The work of the section was accompanied by a lively constructive discussion. At the end of the work the conference participants emphasized the importance and relevance of discussing the topical issues of Linguistics and Foreign Languages Teaching Methods on regular basis.
