The University is 83 years old

The festive events dated for “The Day of the Foundation of the University” were held in the Pridnestrovian State University named T. Shevchenko in Rybnitsa, the higher education institution was 83 years old. The holiday began with a video conference, which was carried out from 12 halls: the conference room of the PSU and 11 new technically equipped resource centers of institutes, faculties and university branches.

Matriculation

A traditional “Informal students’ party” was on September 27 in the ME (Municipal Establishment) “The Youth Center in Rybnitsa”. This event is an important one in life of every school-leaver, who has just enter the PSU in Rybnitsa. The ceremony of school-leavers matriculation is a traditional event in life of our branch.

New Computer Rooms

In the framework of Russia humanitarian assistance with support of Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Eurasian integration” a thorough overhaul of 22 and 23 rooms, where metal-plastic windows and conditioners were installed, was carried out during August of the current year in the PSU in Rybnitsa. Rooms were equipped with modern personal computers, servers and multimedia systems. All computers have a license operating system Windows 8, and a license software of Microsoft Office 2013 and Kaspersky antivirus.

Talking with first-year students

On September 5 and 6 talking with first-year students of all profiles was held. It was held by the deputy director for youth affairs, representatives of student’s self-government – the chairman of student's committee, student's trade committee, heads of student's structural divisions, circles and sections at the Pridnestrovian State University named after T. Shevchenko in Rybnitsa.

The Republic Day

On the day of celebrating “The Republic Day” graduation works of 2013 students of DAA Chair, in the square of the picture gallery of Rybnitsa were exhibited. In the gallery halls citizens and visitors could get acquainted with creative works of students of the DAA Chair of the Pridnestrovian State University named after T. Shevchenko in Rybnitsa.

COGNITIVE LINGUISTICS AND SEMANTICS PROBLEMS

On April 23 Foreign Languages Chair of PSU named after T. Shevchenko, Rybnitsa branch, held the seminar on the subject “Cognitive Linguistics and Semantics Problems”. The seminar participants, teachers of the chair and students of Courses III, IV, V, took part in the discussion of questions connected with history of cognitive science formation, linguistics role in cognitive science formation. The main directions of cognitive researches were considered, the special focus was on the question of the cognitive metaphor theory.
