FINAL INTELLECTUAL SPORTS TOURNAMENT "WHAT? WHERE? WHEN?"
On June 4-5 there was the 8th sports championship “What? Where? When?”
“The Cup of the PSU, the branch in Rybnitsa – 2015”.
The championship included a preparatory game, 5 qualifying games and a final one, which consisted of two rounds. During the tournament there were 216 questions from different fields of knowledge, and there were 167 correct answers. 2 blitzes and 7 superblitzes were played, 3 musical questions sounded, and there were 2 subjects in black boxes.
The championship was attended by 45 students, 12 lecturers, 6 graduates from the PSU, the branch in Rybnitsa, 12 pupils from Rybnitsa Theoretical Lyceum Complex.
The results of the final game are the following: lecturers’ team was out of the competition and became the winner in the nomination “Creativity and Genuine Interest to the Game”, the team of RTL (Rybnitsa Theoretical Lyceum Complex) became the winner in the category “Intellectual Prowess”, the team “Nothing, Nowhere and Never” (Course I, Profile “Organization Management”) was the winner in the nomination “Will to Win”.
There were 5 teams who were fighting for the Cup in the final.
The team “Pony” (Course I, Profile “Foreign Language” with an additional profile “Foreign Language”) was awarded with the Vth place and victory in the nomination “Original Answers”.
The IVth place and victory in the nomination “Iron Logic” were to credit of the team “Intuition” (Course II, Profile “Applied Information Science”).
The IIIrd prize place went to the team "MandM” (Course IV, Specialty “Applied Information Science”).
The IInd place went to the team “GN PSU” (Course III course, Profile “Applied Information Science”).
The Ist place and “Branch Cup – 2015” were won by the team “Моzgov.net” (Course V, Specialty “Software of Computing Technologies and Automated Systems”).
The best player 2014-2015 was a player of the team “Mozgov.net”, the owner of the PSU Cup 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and “Rybnitsa Branch Cup” in “What? Where? When?” 2013, 2014, 2015, a student of Course V, Crasy Vasily.
The championship brought many pleasant and interesting surprises for experts of the mind games club “LogIn”.
The 9th season of mind games is going to be also sudden, intense and definitely mind. In “What? Where? When?” each participant is a winner. Indeed a correct version and a correct answer to any question are a small victory, the victory of mind, intelligence, logic, team spirit and creativity. The game allows you to learn new things, to look at certain events or phenomena from different points of view, to take pleasure from intellectual passion, when a correct answer is born at the game table last seconds, to feel a sense of team spirit at every minute brainstorm.
The intelligence celebration has taken place; let us look forward to autumn to feel again this incredible feeling of intellectual triumph.
