Studying Combinatorics and Probability Theory at secondary school

On November 5 the Chair of Physics, Mathematics and Information science organized the seminar on the topic “Studying Combinatorics and Probability Theory at secondary school”. The department staff took part in the discussion along with math teachers of the town and district schools. The problems of stochastic and probability theory were covered. Basic solution methods of tasks based on the probability theory were reviewed. They cause difficulties in taking the USE.

Round table conference at the Chair of Physics, Mathematics and Information Science

The voice of my heart

On October 29 the Rybnitsa Youth Centre hosted an annual charity concert “The voice of my heart” as a part of the PSU charity program “Do good!”. The funds from the sold tickets and donations will finance purchasing presents and organizing the holyday performance for orphaned children of the Popenki Educational Orphanage. The event was organized by the student union committee of the PSU, the branch in Rybnitsa.

On October 24 V. Kozhukhari, an oncologist of the Rybnitsa Medical Clinics, delivered a lecture at the reading room as a part of the month’s campaign of cancer fight and Health Year at the PSU.

Concerning youth policy

On October 11 the meeting of the representatives of the President Administration with youth activists was held at the town hall. The discussion was attained by the representatives of public education, culture, sport systems as well as by school and university students, members of political parties and youth movements.

Unifight World Championship

From October 7 till October 11 Unifight Junior World Championship was held in Medyn, Russia. Two representatives of the PSU, the branch in Rybnitsa, Marat Sedyh, a student of Course III of“Organization Management” and Evgheni Zhuravlev, a student of Course IV of “Organization Management” took part in the championship as members of the Rybnitsa Sport Club of Combat Sport. Either Marat or Evgheni failed their final fights to Russian rivals, thus winning the second places in their weight categories. We congratulate our students on their achievement! We wish them further success in their sport accomplishments.

Arm-wrestling Competitions

Arm-wrestling competitions among young men and girls were on October 4 in the gym of the PSU in Rybnitsa, they coincided with the 83rd anniversary of university and the Teachers' Day. More than 10 participants flexed their muscles.
